Last year, Wood’s Ace Hardware and Mercantile on Trolley Road underwent some big renovations and changes and has transformed into a one-stop shop for customers – many of whom have developed a friendly relationship with the store’s staff.
Owner Donna Wood is excited, and she attributes the success of the store to a team of employees whom she said have shared her excitement in the store.
A native New Yorker who moved to Summerville from Michigan, Wood and her husband, Roger, have three children; the eldest moved to the area about four years ago. Their middle child and her family then moved down here two years ago.
