OSKALOOSA — Quite the transformation has occurred on the corner where First Street and First Avenue meet.
In 2015, there was a large fire that damaged the building, affecting several businesses. In particular, TrueValue suffered primarily smoke and soot damage but no structural damage.
Previous owners Marc and Joyce Pierson sold the store to Brian and Glenda Booy; the sale closed on April 11. “Really it went pretty quick,” said Glenda Booy of the process. “The whole store was gutted, the main floor and the basement. Brian gutted it and then remodeled the entire store.”
