BRENTWOOD — One of the nation’s largest farm supply retailers will likely be setting up shop in town.

The Planning Commission voted unanimously Tuesday to approve designs for Tractor Supply Company to construct a 19,000-square-foot outlet on an empty 2.82-acre parcel in town. The commission’s action is the first in a lengthy approval process, but is also a strong indication that the city is willing to play ball with the farm supply retailer, which reported $6.2 billion in sales last year.
