For weeks, John Price, owner, and his team members at JBK Ace Hardware & Rental, based in Chestertown, Md., gave it their all to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network, which benefits the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore.
“We asked our customers at point of sale to see whether they would like to donate to the Children’s Miracle Network. Those who donated filled out their name on a paper icon, which we would tape on the wall around the register and around the counter,” Price says. “We had fliers at the counter, had posts on our company Facebook page and sent emails.”
