A possible microburst, isolated to just a few streets, is likely to blame for recent damage to trees and buildings in Kingfield, according to the National Weather Service.

It’s a cleanup that may take days, after a storm that took only minutes.

Will Zejak and his family had more than a dozen trees fall from the storm.

Many were hundreds of years old, breaking fences and blocking their driveway.

“Once they went down you couldn’t see anything,” Zejak said. “You couldn’t get in or out.”
