With California wildfires again making the news, Gabe Hernandez, store manager of Salinas Orchard Supply, wanted to share a few words about fires and what residents can do to stay safe during the long dry summer.

“Smoke alarms or carbon dioxide detectors are your first defense in preparing for a fire or emergency,” Hernandez said. “It’s critical that every home include alarms in key areas such as hallways or living rooms in order to detect trouble and alert residents will ample notice.
