JOLIET, IL — An 82-year-old man got caught shoplifting tools from Menard on Thursday morning, police said.
Avery Fletcher stuffed seven different tools inside his jacket and slipped out of the West Jefferson Street home improvement store about 10 a.m., police said.
A loss prevention officer reportedly watched Fletcher’s filching over a video surveillance feed and went to confront him.
