SUNNYSIDE — A new deli at Ace Hardware hopes to satisfy customers craving a light snack.
Ace Postal owner Andy Bonzi also owns the deli, offering beverages, hot dogs and pastries.
It opened last Friday, a little “under the radar,” according to Bonzi.
“We weren’t really sure how it would go, so we kept it quiet,” he said.
Ace Postal will soon move from its Gregory Avenue location to Ace Hardware’s new site at 615 Yakima Valley Hwy., formerly the Food Pavilion.
“We hope to make the move by summer,” Bonzi said. “We’re going to change the name to ‘Bonzi’s’ as well.”
He said the new postal center will also have an expanded retail area, and he plans to offer more services.
“I’d like to sell bicycles and offer bicycle repair,” he said. “I want it to be a fun environment for everyone.”
