Three men have been indicted on first-degree murder charges tied to the July shooting death of Mission Hill hardware store owner Andres Cruz, moving their cases to Suffolk Superior Court.
The July 18 homicide stirred Boston’s Mission Hill community who said Cruz, 58, was a fixture in their neighborhood.
Friends and neighbors said Cruz, who owned the popular AC Hardware store on Tremont Street, was a friendly presence, always ready to lend a hand. Cruz had been honored with a “Business of the Year” award in Boston shortly before his death.
