GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — The Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan ruled that Lacks Home Products, LLC, may continue its lawsuit against Home Depot for breach of contract and unfair competition.

The lawsuit alleges that Home Depot breached its license to manufacture Lacks’ patented products, provided false accountings of royalties owed Lacks, and committed unfair competition by offering confusingly similar and inferior products.  The license was originally granted to settle a lawsuit when Lacks sued Home Depot for patent infringement related to Lacks’ Coach House Accents® products.
