An ad in the Lake County Visitors Guide led a group of 40 from Erie, Pa to the Joughin Hardware store in Painesville, but the travelers left with more than they expected.
“It’s so much to see,” Karen Mencer of Erie, Pa said during the Sept. 9 visit. “It’s absolutely amazing.”
Mencer and the other guests were traveling with a group called the Asbury Community Seniors.
The three-story, historic landmark also marveled Maxine Reinsel, the group leader.
