A local big-box store that specializes in home repair will be cutting a big check to help a Gastonia veteran rebuild his life.
Home Depot announced this week it will put $30,000 toward what has now been a seven-month-long effort to fix the home of Ace Beam, a Marine whose home was severely damaged in a fire in February 2015. The company will provide the assistance through its Team Depot program, which helps to repair the residences of thousands of former servicemen and women across the country every year.
