Earlier this year, Lowe’s announced a $1.3 billion move to compete with Home Depot after its biggest rival acquired SRS Distribution, a company that provides goods and materials for home-improvement contractors, like landscaping tools, roofing supplies, lumber, and pool materials, for $18 billion in 2024.
