When Travis Hellvig’s parents bought the Hartford Building Center eight years ago, he had no idea that working there would lead him to become one of the industry’s young retailers of the year.
In May, Hellvig, 25, took home the top honor from the North American Retail Hardware Association’s annual gathering in Las Vegas. The award went to eight individuals across the U.S. and Canada in the hardware industry.
