You can walk into a hardware store and find a lot of items to prep your home for heavy rains.
A couple of items you may not be looking for could be especially helpful.
“In a quick fix, all of a sudden it’s raining and you have a leak in your skylight, you can use FlexTape,” said Rusty Treharne, ACE hardware store manager. “FlexTape is very sticky and will give it a quick fix if… you find out that’s where the leak is.”
