Fall’s here, which probably means for homeowners some extra time outside caring for the lawn. Fall is the perfect time of year to fertilize. As the leaves fall from the trees it’s an important time to clear the lawn of them and also to rake out any dead grasses left behind from the mulching of the lawn mower.

A lawn all lit up with the bright colors, the oranges, yellows, and reds of fall can look beautiful, but, if the leaves are left there, it can be bad news for the grass. You could find last year’s beautiful green lawn, yellow and dead come spring. Leaves left to the lawn can trap moisture and also block the sunlight.
