The Fairhaven True Value Hardware will begin a retirement closing sale on Thursday, the company announced Monday.
After 62 years, the store at 23 Popes Island is closing as owners Bob and Mike Chandler are retiring. The 22,500-square-foot building has been listed for sale or lease.
The store is a third-generation, family-owned business. The Chandler family purchased the business in 1956.
