Extra employees were called into Economy True Value Hardware in South Boston on Friday to haul away to storage the unused ice melt left over from a winter that never was.
But with a late-season storm heading toward the region Sunday night, which could drop 6 inches of snow in the city, workers at the Dorchester Street store were instead trying to figure out where to fit the bags of ice melt among the beach chairs and spring items on display.
