Ace Hardware is shutting its store in Bloomfield after only 1½ years in business, company officials say.
The 699 Park Ave. store started its closing sale on Friday, Andy Grant, owner of the Bloomfield store, said in a news release. Grant cited the lack of traffic as the primary cause for closing the store.
“We are disappointed that our efforts to provide a locally-owned hardware store to serve this community didn’t generate the interest that we had hoped for,” he added.
