The Willowbrook woman who was stabbed and sexually assaulted in her home two years ago said in a lawsuit that the front door lock was faulty and failed to prevent her attacker from entering.
The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Cook County court on behalf of Melissa Schuster, and it names the lock manufacturer, Kwikset, as well as The Home Depot, which the suit said sold the lock set, as defendants.
