GARAPAN Elementary School received a grant from True Value Foundation, which provides 40 gallons of paint to a school annually under its Painting a Brighter Future program.

Ray Yumul, president of YCO True Value Hardware Store, said GES applied for the grant and the foundation approved it, adding that the school received $2,000 worth of paint from the YCO store.

“The paint will be used to repaint a portion of the school. The kids will be happy because they will have fresh-looking classrooms,” Yumul said.

In a letter, the foundation told Yumul: “You have the honor of donating 40 gallons of paint to help freshen up the learning environment of GES.
