STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.– Tools and Tiaras — an organization that introduces design and skilled trade to young women — took to MakerSpace in Stapleton on Saturday to teach Staten Island women the ins and outs of their faucets.
“I’m sick of paying the woman price,” Judaline Cassidy, founder of Tools and Tiaras, said to a group of seven women who came out to her free plumbing workshop on Saturday afternoon. “That’s why I want to show you that with the right tools, you can do most things yourself.”
