Time is valuable, but some time is more valuable than others.

Joshua “Shuhe” Hawkins, co-owner of Seven Sails Vineyard in the hills above Northwest Portland found that out the hard way this past week when a routine stop at Ace Hardware in Forest Grove cost him roughly $10,000.

Hawkins, who co-owns the vineyard with Katherine Larsen, had just picked up his wine from a local winemaker between 3 and 4 p.m. on May 25, and was heading home in his pickup truck when he decided to stop at Ace for some wire crimps for some vineyard repairs.
