When I go to the grocery store, I bring a shopping list. When I go to the hardware store, I bring a problem to be solved.

And if I have a question at the grocery store, it is something like, “Where is the coffee?” since if I know where to go, I can take it from there. But at the hardware store, it’s more likely something more substantial like, “How can I hang the chandelier without cracking the ceiling?”
